After a used cooking oil spill on their premises, Thirsk Youth Club’s only access route became a slip hazard, blocking young people from attending weekly sessions. Youth leaders attempted to soak up the oil with cat litter, but this unfortunately led to an area of unsightly and potentially dangerous contamination.

When Rentokil Specialist Hygiene heard about their situation, we offered a free remediation tailored to Thirsk Youth Club’s needs. Due to the affected area being too narrow for machinery, we manually degreased, removed and replaced their contaminated gravel.
