EV vehicle!!
Our first ever EV battery pack removal.
This is a bit of an interesting one. Not only did this come in for a non starting/ charging fault, it came in with a crushed pin in the plug! Interesting… to fix this fault, it wasn’t as simple as we’d first thought, it required dropping the battery pack. However this wasn’t the actual fault causing the non charge fault, this was picked up on by our technician while looking round the vehicle. Not good!

The actual fault with this vehicle was the three phase generator had gone faulty! Fortunately, for us this was slightly easier then dropping the battery pack, and more of a simple repair.

We now offer this service for any and all EV vehicles, we have a fully qualified EV technician and have access to lockout tools if required, aswell as the correct lift to ensure no damage is done to any component upon removal.

Sorry for the delay in our posts, we have been extremely busy with the ‘after Christmas rush!’ But we had to stop to show you our awesome new Hydraulic table, mainly used with EV battery packs, but in this case, it worked perfectly on this bed.

This Ford Ranger came in for an AdBlue non start fault (500 miles left till non start.) We found some dubious wiring upon inspection and soon realised we’d need the bed off to inspect this loom further. Realising we had the perfect thing for the job, we quickly got it set up and working and what a treat it was!

Stay tuned for EV repairs/ engine work all including this lovely new lift.

As you can see we do any kind of job, big or small. After doing many of these Ecoboost engines in multiple different vehicles we have the technique perfected. As you can see the belt had started to delaminate even with the correct servicing and correct oil used! This is proof that no matter what you do, you might not get lucky!

A lovely day for some upgrades and MOT repairs!
This Fiat unfortunately failed its MOT on its front discs being badly warped and the top mounts being extremely worn (past the tolerance) so we advised the customer to book it in and have them repaired! As they are performance parts the customer supplied brand new discs and pads all round. To top that off with some bilstein b14 coilovers with fresh top mounts. We began on the rear discs and pads first ensuring both calipers were okay and once everything was fitted and torqued we moved swiftly onto the suspension, we raised the entire car about 10-15mm from its original height due to it chewing the rear tyres. Once finished setting height and greasing the adjusters we moved onto the front discs and pads which were a delight and went together great, ensuring we refreshed and cleaned the slider/retaining pins. Then to the suspension which was a doddle. Once fitted we set the height and greased the threads once again very lightly to ensure future adjustment. Due to a broken door handle we had to strip down the door card and replace the hinge (very common) unfortunately getting no photos of the process on this one. We dropped the car down let it settle overnight then aligned it with our hunter alignment machine ensuring the car was straight and there was no further faults.

Some manufacturers have lead people to believe that automatic gearbox oil was for life, sadly this approach saw the premature demise of many automatic gearboxes. All automatic gearboxes should have their oil changed every 50 to 70,000 miles.
