Well like the Spring flowers, Forest Barn has emerged from (Social Media) hibernation!
Trying to look on the bright side at the moment, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and the bulbs are out!
Have you started your Spring Cleaning yet? Before it goes out of your mind, now is the time to get your Chimney swept ready for next Winter. 🐦

We love a before and after story, when Richard started to knock out this dated shallow fire surround and hearth, he discovered this awesome original fire recess with header arch, which between himself and the client has been restored to its former glory- now including a wonderful new statement hearth and functional stove fitted by Richard. What a transformation and impressive focal point that opens up the room.

Sorry for the radio silence, but please be assured we are still here busy creating amazing fireplace makeovers. This recent design involved taking out a terracotta tile hearth and slim feature mantel. Richard then opened up the recess and made a feature back wall with these lovely brick-slips, he installed this fabulous aged oak feature beam-what a difference. Finally he created this character hearth with a thick limestone hearth, laid on a brick upstand-a real back breaker but it really looks amazing. He then installed and certified the stove installation-which has a wonderful wide window, enabling you to be hypnotised by the flames dancing. On a cold and wet Friday-how warming is it to receive such lovely feedback from our customer today-great to feel appreciated

Morning Clare I feel the need to tell you how pleased we are once again with Richard's incredibly diligent services on our behalf. He has done a fabulous job which has transformed the look of our fireplace as well as taking the trouble to carry out some incidental work on our stove. We will be in touch in the autumn to put in place an annual service of our stoves and a sweep of our chimneys. Once again many thanks to you both. Vince Evans Barton
