Removed 4 tubs of birds nest from a stove in Latchingdon today.
Book now for a sweep before Xmas.

Attended an address in Bradwell today…young family recently moved in & hadn’t used the fire yet…..thank god they didn’t try……..completely blocked & would have smoked the house out….🔥

A woodburning stove was smoking out the room at a property in Mayland. After removing the baffle plate I could see the flue was completely blocked with creosote & soot.
All cleared & smoke test good.

I have received numerous calls from people saying they are having problems lighting their stoves in the cold weather.
Remember the flues/liners are cold & damp & this can create a cold plug. Warm the flue pipe first by just using paper/firelighters & kindling for 5 mins before adding any solid fuel. This will assist.
