It is with great sadness that I’m shutting down Hot Water as a service for the time being.

Taking on Hundred House Inn has to remain my focus and priority, and there are only so many hours in a day.

I’d like to thank all the many customers that used my services over the last 18months. Getting you all back up and running was a true and genuine joy.

I did try and find a new operative, under my supervision, but no one was forthcoming.

With the nights drawing in, and the stars coming out, winter really is the best time to enjoy your hot tub! We can help with winterproofing your tub and getting it beautifully clean, and for the first 5 customers of this season, we're throwing in a free fast heat service...
If you decide you don't want your tub running through the winter we can offer practical advice and help making sure your tub is ready for you for next spring.

New one on us this week! Troublesome push drain in the base of this beautiful old cedar Canadian style tub. Decided that the best thing to do would be to put a tap drain in the side. Hidden under the steps so easy to access, without spoiling the aesthetics of the tub.

*definitely put our “we work rain or shine!” Motto to the test…. 🙄☔️💧💧☔️☔️

🚨🚨Pro Tip Alert - Always fill your tub through the filter!🚨🚨

Emergency pump repair job this weekend for a beautiful holiday let in Llandewi.

The owner didn't realise that you should always fill the hot tub through the filter. The reason being that if you fill straight into the tub, air locks can happen and when you switch the tub on to heat, the pump will run whilst dry. You'll see in the photos that the rubber seals have been chewed up. Unfortunately, this is the second one in a week that's needed a large pump replacement.

Feel free to message with any questions, we'd much rather replace pumps that had just worn out because you all enjoy your tubs too much. ☺️

Just had word our new fast heater will be delivered next week. So the clean and fast heat service will be back up and running!

Sorry for the inconvenience for those that requested this service. A ‘catastrophic’ failure caused our fast heater to fail. (Manufacturing fault).

New heater, heating loop and jet replacement to finish off the week. One of those jobs where everything was a pain from part sourcing to actually getting to the heater… but we soldiered on for the lovely customer and it’ll be ready for when she gets back on Sunday.

Lovely, if not very hot, evening getting a circulations pump changed (even had feline helpers again!!) forgot to take any photos (they’re dull anyway) but great to catch up with a very young friend at the The Royal George, Lingen.

Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses who may have information about a collision that happened on the A470 near Newbridge-on-Wye at approx. 4.50pm on Friday, 19 July.

Sadly, a 60-year-old male motorcyclist died as a result of the collision. Their next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers.

The road was closed for a number of hours for collision investigation and vehicle recovery.

One person has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Investigating officers would like to hear from anyone travelling the A470 between Newbridge-on-Wye and LLanwrthwl at that time who may have witnessed the incident. Officers are particularly keen to hear from any motorists with a dash cam fitted to their vehicles.
