Tomorrow marks the start of Chimney Fire Safety Week. Don't forget to get your chimney swept before using your open fire or woodburning stove to make sure it is safe to use and free from any obstructions such as birds nests. Use a professionally trained chimney sweep who provides a certificate and smoke tests the flue. Call David on 07736 829765 to book in your annual service.

We recently carried out a chimney sweep at a new property near Waddesdon and ended up removing a huge birds nest. There was enough debris in this nest to have completely filled a garden waste bin! If you move into a new property, never assume that the chimney has been swept - always err on the side of caution.
