Saltway Honey is named after the old Roman road that runs eastwards out of Droitwich Spa in Worcestershire. In Roman times the road would have seen cargoes of Droitwich salt travelling to Alcester and beyond. These days it's more likely to see our honey harvest on it's way to be extracted, as most of our 300 hives are situated in small groups at various locations along it. We started out with 2 sm

all colonies of bees in 1999 and since then have steadily increased the quality and quantity of our bees.
