Couldn’t agree more ‼️
Good morning everyone! 🤍
I've seen quite a few debates on social media over the past few days about how much people pay for a cleaner. I've also seen comments from people saying they've trained for years to teach a language, yet they're earning the same as a cleaner, and they don't think that's right.
Firstly, I believe everyone deserves to be paid fairly for the work they do, regardless of their profession.
But I do think people need to understand that when a cleaning company charges a certain amount, that doesn't mean they're taking home that full amount!
Please bear in mind the costs involved in running a cleaning business:
Employers' liability insurance
Public liability insurance
Staff wages, pensions and holiday pay
Vehicle tax and insurance
Fuel
VAT and other taxes
Uniforms
Cleaning products and equipment
Vehicle maintenance, repairs and general wear and tear.
And believe me, the list goes on!
There is so much more to cleaning than simply putting a duster around!
Cleaning is a skilled, physically demanding job, and those doing it deserve to earn a decent wage.
I'm sure many cleaners will agree that there are days when we get home and our bodies are absolutely ruined from the physical work we've done all day.
It's hard graft, and it's certainly not for everyone!
We deal with all sorts of environments, situations and challenges. It takes knowledge, experience, attention to detail, patience and a lot of hard work to do the job properly.
