Today we were called out to restore the exterior of a home following a devastating house fire.

Our job was to remove the soot, smoke staining and melted plastic that had fused to the brickwork, walls, soffits and gutters. Despite the severity of the fire, we were able to successfully remove all of the contamination and help bring the property back to life.

The brickwork had also suffered significant thermal damage from the intense heat after a garden fence and the neighbouring conservatory caught fire. While we can remove the fire damage left on the surface, heat damage to the bricks themselves is permanent.

Out of respect for the homeowner's privacy, we're only sharing a close-up video of the brickwork rather than our usual before-and-after photos, as requested by the customer.

Most importantly, everyone made it out safely, and that's what really matters. We're grateful we could play a small part in the property's recovery.

Using our 500W Pulse and 2000W CW lasers, we stripped the timber and metalwork ready for the next stage of restoration.

The wood is now ready for a final sand and stain, while the metalwork is prepped for primer and paint.

Another one complete. 💪🔥

This one definitely tested us.

Four hours of travelling every day, working in full sun from the moment we arrived until we packed up. Today peaked at 35°C, but we kept pushing and got the job over the line.

Using both our 500W pulse laser and 2000W CW laser, we stripped the timber and all of the metalwork on these impressive entrance gates.

✅ Wood stripped back ready for a final sand and stain.
✅ Metalwork stripped and prepared for primer and paint.

There was still a small amount of well-bonded red oxide primer left in places after being feathered flat. We could have continued removing every last trace, but after inspecting the finish, the customer was more than happy and confirmed it was already beyond what they expected and perfect for priming.

It's always about working with the client and delivering the finish they actually need—not creating unnecessary work.

When abrasives aren't enough... the laser proves why.

These aluminium fuel lines had been cleaned using abrasive methods in preparation for welding, but the welds were still failing. The problem? Abrasives were simply smearing contamination and corrosion across the surface rather than completely removing it.

Last week we carried out a sample test using our laser cleaning system, taking the ends back to true bare metal without damaging the aluminium.
The customer then welded the samples and sent them for X-ray inspection. The results spoke for themselves – clean, sound welds with none of the previous failures.

This morning we returned to process 42 aluminium fuel lines, and thanks to the successful trial we've already been booked back to complete another 60.
This is exactly where laser cleaning comes into its own. It doesn't just make the surface look clean – it removes the contamination that's causing problems beneath the surface, giving welders the best possible starting point.

Another successful industrial laser cleaning project completed.

Today we were working inside a high-speed manufacturing environment, laser cleaning heavily contaminated production chains. Over time these chains build up layers of baked-on grease, oil and production residue, which can affect performance and increase maintenance requirements. Using our pulse laser system, we were able to remove the contamination without abrasive blasting or harsh chemicals, leaving the chains clean and ready to continue operating efficiently.

The PPE wasn't just for show either. In food and packaging manufacturing environments, strict hygiene procedures are in place to protect the products being made. Hair nets and beard snoods prevent contamination, while safety glasses protect against any airborne particles during the cleaning process. Following site-specific PPE requirements is just as important as carrying out the work safely.

Every site has its own standards, and we're proud to work to them while delivering precision laser cleaning with minimal disruption.

Today, me and Henry finally got to meet Dan Dan the Coffee Man.

If you're from Bristol, you'll probably already know who he is. If you don't, go and find him.

Every day he's out there serving great coffee, spreading positivity and putting smiles on people's faces. After meeting him today, I can honestly say he's exactly the same in real life as he is in his videos. He genuinely takes an interest in every customer and every business that comes his way, and that's something you don't see every day.

We didn't even ask for a photo. A lovely lady who was there asked if we'd like one with Dan, so we thought, why not?

The best part? We both had iced coffees, and they were honestly fantastic. Even better, the two of us got our drinks for less than you'd pay for a single iced coffee at Starbucks. It just proves you don't have to pay chain prices to get an amazing coffee.
This post isn't about clout or trying to jump on someone else's success. It's about supporting someone who's built a brilliant local business through hard work, consistency and simply being a genuinely good bloke.
