Smarties were invented by Rowntree's in 1882 but went by the name 'Chocolate Beans' until 1937. Although you may have your favourite colour, did you know that all smarties actually taste the same, apart from the orange ones, which are flavoured with orange oil!

Why was there such a kerfuffle when the blue ones were replaced with white in 2005, then?
Maybe people missed blue tongues! Or maybe "Only Smarties have the answer".
