Terrazzo is a composite surface made from marble, quartz, granite, or glass chips set within a cement or resin binder. Once cured and ground smooth, it creates a highly durable and decorative finish — but over time it can become dull, stained, and lifeless.

Limescale on Limestone – Professional Restoration

Limestone is a calcium-based natural stone. In shower environments exposed to hard water, dissolved calcium and magnesium salts gradually deposit onto the surface as limescale (calcium carbonate build-up).

Over time this results in:

• Surface calcification
• Loss of reflectivity
• Etching and micro-pitting
• Patchy or uneven appearance
• Reduced slip resistance consistency

Because limestone itself is calcium carbonate, acidic household cleaners cannot be safely used — they react with the stone and cause further etching and surface degradation.

Restored this polished marble floor after a red wine spill 🍷✨

Using our high-grade diamond polishing pads, we carefully re-polished the affected area, removing the stain and bringing the stone back to its original finish. The floor was then sealed with a colour-enhancing, solvent-based seal to protect and enrich the natural beauty of the marble.
