Hi everyone. Just some advice that might just save you some needless expense.
For those of you that have a log burner or open fire, it’s recommended that you have them swept annually, even if you think it’s not needed. Many home insurance companies require your appliances to be swept annually, and if you fail to adhere to stipulations of the policy, you may find yourself without insurance and having to pay for any remedial work carried out from a chimney fire, for example. This can and does often happen. So, please make sure to cover yourself and get your chimney swept annually.

⚠️ Important announcement ⚠️
🤍 As some of you may or may not be aware, the owner of the businesses (My Step Dad, Mark Newbold) passed away in November. This had lead to the businesses being passed on to his wife Pauline (my mum). 🤍
She then had to make some changes around the running of their family's run pubs which include The Pelican Inn, Ogmore and The Angel Inn, Mawdlam and I stepped in to help in the running of both establishments and became "The front woman"
😢 Unfortunately, the time has come for Mum to hold up her hands and say goodbye to her involvement in the businesses, although this decision has not been made lightly. She would like to say she will be forever greatful for everyones support in the business, and for the love that they were both shown through the tough illness that Mark had to endure, and that after his passing 🥲
🥳 A new business is being appointed for myself and my life long partner, Paul Greaves, to start from fresh and open the doors once again as we will begin to embark on our new adventure in taking over The Angel Inn and The Pelican Inn 🥳
❤️ Myself and Paul have always been heavily involved in the businesses and have a vast knowledge of the industry. Everything we know has come from the guidelines and support from Mark and Pauline Newbold, so can assure you that you will still receive the same level of hospitality, that their reputation has already shown .
⚠️ Whilst we prepare for this new start, we will be CLOSED TEMPORARILY as we put our new plans in place. We hope this is processed as quickly as possible and can welcome you back very soon!!! ⚠️
