🚧 Another successful drainage repair completed by Kingfisher Drainage & Jetting Ltd! 🚧
A local pub was experiencing major issues with its wastewater system due to a collapsed pitch fibre drainage line.
Our team attended site and carried out a 4.5-metre excavation downstream of the final manhole to gain access beyond the collapsed section. We then carefully cut into the pipework past the collapse, allowing us to pump out the charged drainage system behind the collapsed section and safely empty the line before carrying out the repair.
Once the system was empty, the damaged section of pitch fibre pipe was removed and replaced with new 110mm PVC underground drainage, connected using heavy-duty underground Fernco couplings. The new pipework was fully encased in 10mm pea shingle to provide the correct bedding and protection before the trench was backfilled with MOT Type 1 and mechanically compacted, leaving it ready for the final tarmac reinstatement.
Another quality repair completed with minimal disruption, restoring the drainage system back to full working order. ✅
