๐คฆToday has definitely been a tricky oneโฆ
My clients are due to travel tomorrow on a very special cruise and stay adventure to the Panama Canal. As always, I logged in first thing this morning ( even on my day off ) to check them in for their flight โ only to be met with absolute horrorโฆ their flight was showing as departing a day later ๐ซ
๐Which would have meant missing their cruise entirely.โด๏ธ
โ๏ธ Straight into action mode! While my husband was driving, I was on the phone to my best contact at the tour operator (Bank Holiday or not!), while also looping in my colleague Joan โ because two heads are always better than one. Despite being surrounded by her grandkids, she dashed off to her office to help. ๐ค
It turns out the flight had been cancelled overnight ( yes that can happen ) and they were just about to contact me.
After a few hours of back-and-forth, problem-solving, and pulling every string possibleโฆ new flights secured for later tomorrow PHEW! ๐
So all checked in, the hotel emailed to advise of their now later arrival and calm clients ๐
๐ Moments like this are exactly why having a dedicated travel agent on your side makes all the difference.
If youโd booked independentlyโฆ who would you call?
Would you even know where to start to fix it quickly and save your trip?
Never underestimate the power of having someone in your corner when the unexpected happens ๐ผโจ
