A lot of my regular ironing clients with know my dad passed away in June, his final days were spent in Lindsey Lodge, my daughter and I have decided to take part in this years Glow walk 8th September, to help raise money for other people and their families going though what we did, it’s a very hard time for everyone losing a loved one, but Lindsey Lodge was and are amazing, we couldn’t have wished for more in dads care or to support to us as a family,
If anyone would like to sponsor Elena and I we would really appreciate it, walking 5miles is completely out of my comfort zone, but I’m doing it in remembrance of dad to hopefully make him proud and of course to support Lindsey Lodge hospice xx

Hello to all my amazing customers!!

I want to thank you all for your continued support in these challenging times, And for choosing “The ironing fairy” to help with your ironing needs, I truly love this business and the great chats I have with all of you whilst collecting and dropping off your Ironing, it really does mean alot to me.

I started my little ironing business 9years ago and I haven’t increased my prices through out that entire time, I’ve put it off and put it off, but with the rising prices in fuel and electric etc, I just can’t keep going on as I am and absorbing the difference,

As some of you know from our chats, I have been putting this off for far too long, several of you have asked me over the years , when am I putting my prices up, but it’s time to face some difficult facts after looking at my end of year accounts, I either try a slight increase in my prices and risk loosing a few of my customers or face the fact that I need to give up my business all together, which is the last thing I want to do,

So Effective May 1st baskets of ironing will be;
£12 for Scunthorpe collection & delivery
£15 for surrounding areas collection & delivery
*Discount will be given for more than 1 basket booked in at the same time

I desperately don’t want to give up my little business that I have worked so hard to achieve & I love doing, I have the best customers and don’t want to loose any of you,
I hope you can understand that I haven’t taken this decision lightly but I need to be brave and at least try it,

Wow what a super busy week!! I’ve tried to squeeze in as many baskets as I could,
So Thankful to all the lovely people who have chosen Ironing fairy to help out with their ironing needs, not only this week but to anyone who has trusted me with their ironing, it means so much ….
All ironing has now been returned and my ironing room door is Closed,
I’m taking a well needed week off to spend with my family, before they are back to school & starting College, im back Monday 5th September,
Hope you all have a fantastic bank holiday 🥰

Joking aside I have to be honest, I do love ironing, I just find it so therapeutic !! And to have a little business doing what I love, means the absolute world & definitely doesn’t feel like work to me 🥰,

Just wanted to say a massive thank you, to every single person who has asked me to help out with their ironing baskets, it means so much, wether its been a one off or booking a weekly slot, I can’t thank you all enough,
This week is very exciting, I should be taking delivery of my new steam iron!!
I really cant wait for it to arrive & to get stuck in to all of your ironing baskets,
time for my trusty old iron to have a well earned rest 🥰
