💙 This is what community partnership looks like.
One of the young people at our site, Jay, only came along because his mum encouraged him to give it a try. At first, he didn’t want to be there — head down, not expecting much.
But after meeting the team and getting involved, the change was clear.
He started turning up early, getting stuck in, helping out, and building confidence week by week. His mum has told us how much happier he is, how motivated he’s become, and how much it means to her to finally see someone believe in him.
That’s exactly why we’re proud to support Genuine Futures and host their youth-led projects here at The Scrappers — including We Shine Any Car and skills-based training in real working environments.
This is about more than scrap and vehicles.
It’s about giving young people a place to belong, learn, and believe in themselves.
Proud to be part of this journey, Jay. 👊
