On this very page, when the 720 S was first launched, I posted a picture of it and declared it my new favourite modern supercar. Wind forward a year or so and I have one sat in my studio, can’t quite believe it if I’m being honest. I really do feel privileged to have had it in my possession.

The owner of the McLaren quickly booked the McLaren in after I had presented his wife’s Bentley Continental GT to him. It had spent a a week here to have every surface restore and protected.

So, as I did with the Bentley, the following work was scheduled on the McLaren:

✔ Multiple Stage Paint Correction Detail.

✔ GYEON quartz Q2 Professional Ceramic Paint Protection.

✔ GYEON quartz Q2 View applied to all external glass.

✔ Alloy Wheel Detail followed by an application of GYEON Q2 RIM Quartz alloy wheel coating.

✔ Interior mats protected with GYEON Fabric

MAGNETIC GREY FOCUS RS - PAINT CORRECTION DETAIL

When a regular customer, who has passed you the keys to many iconic cars, purchases this Magnetic Grey Focus RS and drives straight here to yet again pass you the keys.

When asked what they wanted done, I was told “if it needs it, just do it”.

So with that, I carried out one of the most extensive details I’ve done since opening 10 years ago.

Just as a Magnetic Grey Ford Focus RS (my favourite colour on the Mk3) is ready for collection, a Vauxhall Astra VXR is dropped off, ready to receive a thorough detailing package.

Both cars received Lanoguard - Underbody Rust Protection, followed by a full Paint Correction Detail and Carpro UK ceramic coating package.

An insight into the "Paint Correction" process.

A series of BEFORE and AFTER shots. Note that each shot has the introduction of a sun gun to give you a true representation of the paint.

A side on reflection shot with no light source will never give you a true representation of the paint condition.

An insight into the "Paint Correction" carried out on a badly scratched bonnet. Each picture represents a stage in the correction process.

Up to 3 stages of machine polishing to chase out the bird poo etching and deep scores in the clearcoat. Final refining stage to achieve clarity in the clearcoat.

A new customer here, he dropped by to have his wife's car assessed and simply asked if it could be returned to an "as new" condition, or as close to as I could achieve.

What you see here is a 1983 Ford Es**rt RS1600i, with just over 10,000 miles on the odometer, a rare thing nowadays.

You may have seen the Capri that I had in recently ? That was just over 5,000 miles and the owner of this car requested the same treatment. So, get the very best out of the paint without damaging any of the decals and leave everything on the car as is.
