THE UK'S BIGGEST UPSIDE DOWN HOUSE IS OFFICIALLY OPEN ON BLACKPOOL PROMENADE! 🙃

Sitting right next to South Pier, this massive two-storey illusion house has officially opened its doors just in time for the summer rush. Council bosses and tourism leaders are backing it to bring a massive boost to the South Shore area... but as always with Blackpool, everyone has an opinion!

It costs £8.95 on the door to entry (card only)

Some people are saying it’s exactly the kind of modern, quirky attraction South Shore needs to bring in families and social media trippers. Others are already arguing it’s a bit of an eyesore on the seafront, or too pricey for a quick walk-through.

What do we think, Blackpool? Is this a brilliant new addition to the Golden Mile, or are we turning our noses up at it? Let’s hear it in the comments! 👇 Let battle commence...

Blackpool’s upgraded public toilets at the North Shore tram station complex have officially gone contactless-only, completely eliminating cash entry. The new stainless steel turnstiles require a physical card or mobile payment to unlock the gates. While the upgrade ensures cleaner, self-funding facilities and stops vandalism, it blocks anyone without a digital payment method from accessing basic amenities..

Is a card-only turnstile progress for a cleaner toilet, or does blocking cash payments go too far for a basic human need? Drop your thoughts below.

Independent hospitality operators across Blackpool are facing an uphill battle as rising overheads force more local venues to keep their shutters down. These 2 bars on Talbot road serve as a stark reminder of the intense economic pressures hitting our town centre's night-time economy. While multi-million-pound regeneration projects focus on new developments, local publicans are crying out for targeted business rate relief and a reduction in beer duty just to keep the lights on and preserve the traditional community hub.

What specific support do independent pubs and bars in Blackpool town centre need right now to survive, and how can we back them before more shutters come down permanently?
