Fantastic to be back on site with our friends at Westpoint Construction on a Vistry Group site in the Midlands!

Proud to share another successful collaboration with the great team at Westpoint Construction on a Staffordshire site.

We tackled a blocked manhole and ensured the problem wouldn't come back! Our team thoroughly cleared the obstruction, then installed new benching to smooth the flow and prepare the manhole for site adoption.

Manhole benching might not be the most visible part of a drainage system, but it’s essential for long-term reliability and hassle-free inspections, especially where an issue has been identified.

We see it all too often, blocked pipes, backed-up drains, and expensive emergency callouts. All caused by one small but mighty culprit: wet wipes.

Even the ones labelled "flushable" or "biodegradable" don’t belong in the toilet. Why? Because drainage systems simply aren’t built to handle them.

Unlike toilet paper, wet wipes don’t break down. Instead, they cling to pipe walls, catch on joints and bends, and snowball into massive blockages. Mix in fats, oils and grease, and you’ve got yourself a fatberg.

The consequences? Big disruption. Bigger clean-up costs. Overflow risks. And environmental harm when waste ends up where it shouldn’t.
