Sadly to announce, In the local city council elections, the results have been declared and unfortunately I have lost to Waseem Zaffar, the local labour councillor. Everyone’s hard work has been appreciated and I give everyone who did vote me a big thank you from the bottom of my heart, In sha Allah the next election we will try harder, I look forward to meeting you if you need my support, I won’t disappear even if I have lost and please invite me in any of your activities I will be there. Congratulations to all the candidates who have won the elections, if the lozells councillor needs my support I will also be here to make lozells a better, safer and cleaner area. You will be in my duas.

Last day of campaigning and door knocking! It was an excellent session. We enjoyed campaigning throughout the last 5 weeks. We appreciate the help we have received from the campaign team. This weekend our candidates and campaigners have been out speaking to residents across the City about our plan to get the basics here in Birmingham right.

One of our promises is to do all the council can to help tackle the increase in cost of living that’s why:

💷 We will freeze Council Tax until at least 2026
🚮 Scrap charges on Bulky and Garden waste collections
🚗 Remove private vehicle charges for the Clean Air Zone
