My son came along to work with me, rolled up his sleeves and got stuck in. I was so proud of his attitude and work ethic, he didn’t shy away from the challenge and worked incredibly hard.

Building Groves Clean & Tidy has always been about creating something meaningful for my children, our team and our community. I would absolutely love for my children to join the business one day, if that’s the path they choose.

For now, I’ll treasure days like today, working side by side and showing him what can be achieved through hard work and determination.

This week we're starting a very different kind of project.....

We were referred by an estate agent to support a tenant whose home had reached the point where it had become a serious fire risk. They were facing the possibility of losing their tenancy if they couldn't make changes.

The reality is, this isn't "just a cleaning job."

Our client hasn't been able to access their upstairs for over three years. Understandably, this is overwhelming, emotional and something that can't be solved in a day.

So we're approaching it the same way we approach every hoarding support project - with compassion, not judgement.
💚 The client leads the process.

💚 The same small team attends each visit to build trust.
💚 We offer practical help, emotional support and encouragement every step of the way.

This is only the beginning of the journey, but we're privileged to be part of it.

**Important Notice – Hot Weather This Week**

With temperatures set to remain unusually high this week, we'd like to let our clients know that the wellbeing and safety of our team remains our top priority.

Our cleaners will continue to attend all scheduled appointments wherever possible; however, there may be some minor delays to arrival times and jobs may take a little longer than usual to complete.

To help keep our team safe in the heat, we have instructed staff to:

• Take additional rest breaks where required
• Stay hydrated throughout the day
• Work at a pace appropriate to the conditions
• Avoid overexertion during the hottest parts of the day
• Monitor for signs of heat exhaustion and report any concerns immediately

If possible, clients can help by:

• Allowing access to drinking water if needed
• Ensuring rooms are well ventilated where possible
• Keeping pets comfortable and secure while doors and windows may need to be opened during cleaning
• Being understanding if our team arrive slightly later than scheduled

We will continue to keep clients informed of any significant delays and will always do our best to minimise disruption.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We are incredibly proud of our team, who work hard in all weather conditions to deliver a great service.

* Please note our emails and phones have been down or been intermittent for the last few days.

Please bare with me whilst I try to catch up with everything when I'm back from leave on Sunday. Emails are now fixed but the backlog is very slowly coming through and won't be able to receive any texts / voicemails / phone calls until Sunday. Apologies for this, that will teach me to try and work from the other end of the country! I got a flat tyre too just to test me a bit further!
