It's taken a few weeks... Rats had over run this grain store. The rat activity has now been massively reduced. I've used a combination of the following to achieve the results:
✅ Cutting back overgrown folliage around the external perimeter of the grain store.
✅ Proofing obvious rodent entry points.
✅ Placing snap traps throughout all internal areas where required.
✅ Intensive rodenticide treatment externally and within any active rat burrows.
✅ Removing any rodent harbourages, such as items placed against the buildings that attract vermin activity.
Undertaking the above (with the help of the farmer) has meant that non toxic monitoring bait points are now in place for on going pest management.
