🚨 Short-term fixes = long-term damage 🚨
This is exactly why cutting corners never pays off.
The previous owner tried to “fix” failing cast iron guttering by simply laying new plastic guttering on top of it… and holding it in place with a few bricks 🤯
No proper brackets.
No correct fall.
No secure fixings.
Just bricks.
Over time, the old guttering continued to fail, the new guttering shifted, water overflowed, and it slowly started seeping into the property… leading to serious damp issues above the window as you can see.
Water will always find a way.
What might seem like a quick, cheap solution can end up costing thousands in internal damage later on.
✔️ Do it once
✔️ Do it properly
✔️ Protect your home
If your gutters are sagging, leaking, or “temporarily fixed” — get them checked before it turns into something much bigger.
