📣 Over the last few weeks, I’ve been networking with business owners and customers, listening to the challenges they’re facing in both their businesses and personal lives.

Keep reading because we would love your feedback…

And there are some clear themes coming through loud and clear:

🧹 Finding a good, reliable cleaner who actually does a great job is proving really difficult.

💷 Finding fair, affordable rates is another huge concern, with people feeling they’re sometimes paying a lot for a service that doesn’t meet expectations.

⏰ Life is overwhelming. Business owners and families are juggling work, home, children, finances, admin and everything in between — and there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.

👥 Recruitment and staff retention particularly in the care and cleaning industry are also major challenges for businesses, with many struggling to find reliable people and, as we’ve experienced ourselves over the years, having to turn away work because there simply aren’t enough good staff available.

💰 Cash in hand work seems to be on the rise, which is making it difficult for businesses who operate ethically and to the book, to recruit staff.

So we’ve been asking ourselves:

What if we could help solve some of these problems?

What if there was a way to connect people with reliable, quality people, while also helping businesses and families take some of the pressure off?

That’s what we’re currently exploring.

TRYING TO FIND A GOOD CLEANER - MAKE SURE THEY’RE VERIFIED

Finding a cleaner shouldn’t mean scrolling through a directory and picking someone because they have a profile and a few reviews.

Real verification should mean more than “they can pick up a mop.”

The whole point of using a cleaning company or cleaner is to take the job off your hands, not leave you having to finish it yourself.

We hear it all the time:

❌ Tasks not completed

❌ Poor attention to detail

❌ Customers having to redo the cleaning themselves

❌ Standards not matching what was promised

❌ Paying more and more for a service that simply isn’t good enough

And this is the problem.

There are some fantastic cleaners and cleaning companies out there, but there are also plenty of people offering cleaning services without the experience, training, systems or quality control needed to deliver a consistently good service.

So before you book, ask questions.

🔎 What experience do they have?

🎓 What cleaning training have they completed?

🛡️ Do they have appropriate insurance?

⭐ Can you see genuine customer reviews?

📋 Do they have proper processes and standards?

✅ And most importantly — what does “verified” actually mean?

A directory listing isn’t necessarily a quality check.

Verified should mean the cleaner or company has actually been assessed against meaningful standards — not simply that they’ve filled in a form and paid to be listed.

You’re paying for a professional service.

You deserve someone who knows how to clean properly, understands the task, has the right knowledge and training, and delivers the standard you’re paying for.

Because the whole point of hiring a cleaner is to make your life easier, not create another job for you.
