How have the rats got in my home
Good question and asked many times.
99% of the time, rats will use a broken or uncapped drain, to gain access to your home, and not always via a hole, you may have seen at the bottom of your wall.
Using our state of the art camera equipment, we can closely look and study all your drains, for damage and rat activity, and take videos and photos for your peace of mind.
Going the extra mile, means not just inspecting your drains, but also your neighbours too ( if applicable) because this is where the problem could be, our detective work is vital, in finding your rat entry problem below or sometimes above ground, and then giving you a rat free home and a solution.
Drainage Rat Flaps/Gates? What are they?
Rat flaps/gates are one way valves, that fit in your drains, so in essence they let all your waste out, and the rats too, but do not let them back in, a good quality stainless steel rat flap will last for years, we only use such flaps in our service.
Don't buy cheap and low quality flaps, they will let you down, Rats are clever, and they will work them out, and get threw them.
Anybody can fit rat flaps in your drains, however fitting them the correct way, and in the correct place in the system is crucial, to stop the invasion.
Your new lodgers have to leave your home for food, and human waste/ poo in your drains is what they eat, this is where your new one way rat flaps will earn there keep.
β Important β
Repairing/blocking your drains straight away will trap the rats in your home, and this will create more mess and damage with them trying to leave, you have to let them all out and back threw the newly installed rats flaps, and then when your home is clear of rats, you can certainly have any broken drains repaired and your home sanitised, you can also use rat traps in the process, to get the numbers down, we strongly suggest not to use poison, (except in extreme circumstances) because of the risk of dead rats, decomposing in unaccessible locations, in your home, the smell is very unpleasant β
