📚 TWO DAYS OF LEARNING – THEORY AND PRACTICAL
Our training isn't simply about showing you how to operate a carpet cleaning machine. It's about understanding the science, recognising the risks and having the confidence to make the right decisions when you're standing in a customer's home.
During our course, we cover:
✅ Fibre and fabric identification – Understanding what you're cleaning before deciding how to clean it. From different carpet fibres to delicate upholstery fabrics, we explain how to recognise them and why it matters.
✅ Understanding cleaning chemicals – We go into pH levels, enzymes, solvents, alkalinity, acidity and how different chemicals work. More importantly, we explain WHY you would choose one product over another.
✅ Stain identification and treatment – Not every stain can be treated in the same way. We teach you how to assess different types of staining, understand what you're dealing with and select an appropriate treatment.
✅ Recognising potential problems – Colour bleeding, shrinkage, browning, overwetting and other common cleaning risks. Knowing what could go wrong before you start is just as important as knowing how to clean.
✅ Knowing when to change your method – Not every carpet or fabric is suitable for the same cleaning process. We explain when Hot Water Extraction (HWE) is appropriate, when Very Low Moisture (VLM) cleaning may be a better option and when it's best to leave something alone.
✅ AND SO MUCH MORE!
These are just a handful of the subjects we cover during our two-day course. We go into far greater detail, covering a wide range of topics designed to give you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to tackle real-life cleaning situations professionally.
Day 1 focuses on the theory and science behind professional cleaning, while Day 2 gives you the opportunity to put that knowledge into practice using professional equipment.
We encourage questions throughout, because we want everyone attending to understand what they're doing, not simply follow instructions.

Quite simply, because we can!
We don't outsource our training or rely on external trainers to deliver our courses. Everything is delivered in-house, helping us keep our costs down.
We also don't see training as an opportunity to make a large profit.
Our aim is to help people enter the industry with the right knowledge, support existing cleaners who want to develop their skills and contribute towards raising professional standards.

Our training is NOT a two-day sales pitch for BrightChem products!
We teach cleaning principles, not brand loyalty.
Whether you use BrightChem, Restormate, Prochem, or another manufacturer's products, the knowledge you gain should still be relevant to your everyday work.
We want people leaving our training understanding WHY they're doing something, not just being told WHAT to do.
We have a great deal of respect for other training providers across the UK. Many offer excellent courses and contribute enormously to our industry. This is why you'll have seen us recommend Restormate and Ken Wainwright for training on so many occasions.
We aren't suggesting that more expensive courses aren't worth their money. We genuinely believe that every training course you attend offers the opportunity to learn something new, regardless of how many years of experience you have in the industry. There's always something more to learn!
But equally, we don't believe the price of a course should be used as a measure of the quality of training someone receives.
A £50 course shouldn't automatically be considered less valuable simply because another provider charges considerably more.
Different businesses have different operating costs, different approaches and different reasons for offering training.
Our approach is simple: keep training affordable, make it informative and give people knowledge they can actually use.
