Collection changes for leeds customers over the festive period

Important bin collection information yule need to know for Christmas ♻️

From today, all households across Leeds will receive a flyer to let them know when their bin collection days will be over the festive period.

This year, collection days will change between Sunday 21 December – Sunday 4 January to make sure that no-one misses out on their bin being emptied. Collection days will return to normal from Monday 5 January.

Remember that you can also green bin your empty glass bottles and jars too. Batteries will need to be taken to the nearest battery recycling collection point.

📆 Changes to bin collections over the festive period for Barnsley customers

Please note: There will be changes to bin collections starting Thursday 25 December and lasting until Friday 2 January.

Here’s the revised schedule:

• If your bin is scheduled to be collected Christmas Day (Thursday 25 December), it will now be collected on Monday 29 December.

• Bins scheduled for Friday 26 December will be collected on Tuesday 30 December.

• Bins due to be collected on Tuesday 30 December will be collected on Wednesday 31 December.

• New Year’s Eve bins (Wednesday 31 December) will be collected on Friday 2 January.

• Bins scheduled for New Year’s Day (Thursday 1 January) will be collected on Saturday 3 January.

• Finally, bins scheduled for Friday 2 January will be collected on Monday 5 January.

Please note that there is a change to our bin collections over Christmas.

If your bin would normally be due for collection on Tuesday 26 December (Boxing Day), we'll be collecting it on Saturday 30 December instead.

All other bin collection dates over the festive period are unchanged.
