Morecambe Area Police have advised us to ask members to check garages and outbuildings for any signs of attempted break ins. In particular they are interested in anything that may have occurred in the early hours of this morning 29/5/26.
If you have any information at all please report this to the police online or on the phone quoting this reference.

We get asked every year when our emergency medical technician apprentice roles will open. While we don’t have a date yet, it’s a good idea to start getting ready now.

One key requirement for the role is a C1 driving licence, which allows you to drive ambulances. If you’re thinking about applying, you should start by getting your C1 provisional in place early.

To be considered for an interview, you’ll need a C1 provisional licence at the point of application. Licences will be checked at the shortlisting stage. We’ve added guidance on how to apply for your C1 in the comments below.
