We are conducting our business as normal, and will continue to do so unless the Government imposes restrictions on our activities. We will of course comply with any and all new legislation that emerges over the coming weeks.
We are a cleaning business, well acquainted with infection control procedures both within our own organisation and the premises of our customers. We have always been well stocked with disposable overalls, gloves and masks and use anti bacterial cleaning products and disinfectants as a matter of routine. Our staff are generally lone workers, they keep their own stocks of materials in their own vans and we have instructed them not to allow any other member of staff or member of the public into the van for any reason. We consider the risk of cross contamination among our staff, and our risk of carrying infection to any member of the public, is as low as we can practicably make it.
We understand that many businesses are advising their staff to work from home and offices will be empty. Obviously during that time you will not need your normal office cleaning service. Please let us know if you are affected by this, and we will suspend our service until business resumes as normal.
If your office is remaining open, we will continue to clean with antibacterial products in line with our existing infection-control protocols. In addition, we have implemented a system of thorough disinfection of toilet facilities at each clean where appropriate. All paper waste is now double bagged to contain infection.
We expect our customers to let us know if the premises we are required to visit are affected by anyone in self-isolation. Each incidence will be risk-assessed on an individual basis. If we feel that any situation presents a potential risk to our employees, their families and/or other customers, we will decline. If the self-isolation measures in place are acceptable, we are happy to go ahead taking all necessary precautions.
We are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities to our customers and staff, and hope that you will let us know if there is anything we can do to help you through these difficult times. Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by Covid-19 around the world, and we hope you all remain safe and well in the weeks ahead.
Kind regards,
Steph
