**SCAM WARNING**

Yesterday a lovely lady contacted me to alert me that she had been scammed by someone operating under “Clean-Away”

The man in question targeted the older lady by cold calling, showing her a clean-away leaflet and pressuring her into having her patio cleaned. Not only did he not clean her patio (apart from spraying something onto the slabs), he took £400, demanded it wasn’t enough and followed the poor lady to the post office to withdraw a further £350.

The lady contacted us and said she knew she was being scammed, but the man was so aggressive and intimidating she felt there was nothing she could do.

We will of course support the lady and provide the services that she thought she had paid for. But know that we NEVER cold call and we ALWAYS carry ID.

We will now work to add a meet the team page on our website so you can verify the identity of our staff when they arrive.

Please be vigilant and check on your older generation. Spread the word that this happens & something such as a ring doorbell/ camera might deter them.

The man was a “big guy, in a flat cap, mid-late 50s and driving a grey coloured car”
