They are that proud to be a Wee Cora they even wear the initial on days out 😂

Erin & Mairead don’t work for us, they work with us 🙌🏻 I set out on this journey on my own, always just wanting to do what I love and definitely not ever wanting staffing or payroll or employment responsibilities, and I have stuck by that. These two are self employed and work alongside me for a set number of hours each week, they wanted to join me and do what we all love and that was the only way we could make it work. They work as hard as me, keep me on my toes, support me when I’m struggling and give their all to making CORA and The Wee Cora’s a success slowly and steadily.

Every day we struggle with various pains, life responsibilities, family issues and much more but we pull the big girl pants up, work hard, laugh hard and play hard when we get a chance 😂 We love our customers, we make hard choices together about jobs that maybe aren’t working, we plan, we notice, we rearrange as best we can, at the heart of it all…we care so much, some of our customers are dealing with so much and we love making one thing that bit easier for them…their homes ☺️

Erin is our queen of laughs and dishing out demerits (mostly to me)

Mairead is our queen of fire 🔥 (I can divulge no more on that but she knows 😂)

And how do they get rewarded for all their efforts…by getting more jobs of their own of course, aren’t they so lucky 😅 The best learning you will ever do as a professional cleaner is the learning on your own meeting challenges and the responsibility of it all on you, so they each have their own work as well as our work as a team…I really am the gift that keeps on giving 😂

So a massive thank you to our Wee Cora’s, we’d be lost without you and CORA wouldn’t be what it is today without all your effort and support.

Self employment…the hardest thing but the happiest thing ☺️

Money isn’t steady, routine isn’t steady, bills are worried about way more, people assume you’re secure(you know about assume-makes an a #* out of you and me)

BUT…

This pic right here is what makes it so worth it…Freedom! Yes we work long hours, yes we work hard, yes we do so much more behind the scenes than anyone realises but we have choices, we can work everything around our children and spend our free time enjoying our mortgage and quality time with each other.

This man worked Mon-Sat for the best part of 29 years and now he gets to spend some Saturdays resting, recovering and learning to play chess at the grand old age of 45. He gets to wash cars, mow our lawn and cut sticks on a Saturday so he actually has some free time on a Sunday.

Self employment is not easy but it is so worth it for moments like this.

Time is our most precious commodity ☺️
