Was called out to a job for a regular client of mine but I normally do her chimney in her home but she asked me to check the stove out on her rental property, she was renovating and hadn't had me swept it because it was the tenants that said they would take care of the stove and apparently was swept every year as she was able to get the certificates for being swept.....

Well I am surprised that no 1 was harmed or even worse with the installation of this stove!

With a stainless steel flu liner being fitted to stoves it's meant to be to the top of your chimney pot with a pothanging cowl fitted! Horrified I realised there was only 1 metre of flu fitted and stuck up into the chimney.

For safety reasons removed and a competent stove fitter was recommended to finish the job the right way.
