Dry Leys Farm Dry Leys Farm (formerly Leckhampstead Wharf Stud) is a family run yard, based in Quainton, Aylesbury

Our Facilities:-
-Brand new purpose built yard, including 19 Hancox boxes with sliding doors, mangers and automatic drinkers. 3 stallion boxes. 2 tack rooms. 2 wash boxes (one with over head heater) and taps within.
-Brand new 20x40m indoor school with Andrew Bowen surface and good range of showjumps.
-20m round pen with sand and rubber surface.
-Electric fenced fields with a varying size to acc

ommodate single, pair and group turnout, including separate paddocks for stallions.
-Excellent off road hacking within 130 acres of farm land, and brilliant access to bridleways and surrounding Quainton Hills.
-We also offer stud services and broodmare livery, from getting in foal to all the way through.
-Plans for 2014 include installing a walker and a canter track.

🤦‍♀️ So this little filly decided to make an appearance at just after 2pm yesterday afternoon (the only afternoon we decided to go out as a family as not much happening) anyway thanks to Becca Baker taking charge all delivered safely with Toby on video call. We raced home because the mare decided she was very unsure about being a mother. After a lot of perseverance on Toby’s part she finally decided it wasn’t so bad being a mummy. Such a welcome sign when they suck without assistance.
Good strong filly considering she over 3 weeks early. Another amazingly bred by Aganix du Seigneurial/Ogano Sitte X Peagse can’t Ruytershof/Comme il Faut.

So on Tuesday evening we had a c**t for Jamie Walker by Can Ya Mahan/Conturo out off a Kannan/Lux mare. The mare had been running milk for nearly 2 weeks, so as we expected the IGG was next to nothing, she had poorer all the good stuff all over everywhere.
So a plasma transfusion was needed, followed by another IGG yesterday. Yes 🥳 and now cantering around the field happily.

Is it to early for me to hope he want to be a vet ??? 🤞🤞🤞

So that was a busy one 🤦‍♀️
About 8.20pm a humongous c**t arrived for Harriet Smith, big and weak he needed help all night to stand, once up he was up he was straight on the milk bar, welcome sight when he finally managed to get himself up early this morning and has gone from strength to strength all day. By Highway TN out of a Kannan mare.
Then one of our favourite mares Boom of Abbe Burchmore Eames had another strapping c**t at 10.45pm. All well with him other than she retained her placenta, so injected a couple of times and she gave it up early this morning, she will be on a few days flush outs just to be safe.
