Look at this gorgeous banana and blueberry bread 😍

I hate, yes I know hate is a strong word, but I do hate food waste. Sometimes it's inevitable but this wasn't going to be one of them.

Before going on our holiday, we had 2 ripe bananas and a handful of blueberries kicking around and I just couldn't throw them away. So out came the mixer and I whipped up this yummy banana and blueberry bread 🍞

Once cooled I wrapped it and stored it in the freezer for the week we were away ⛱️

Once home, there really wasn't anything in the fridge and the cupboards were considerably low on stock. But in the freezer there it was, waiting to be defrosted and consumed for brunch ✨ it tasted delicious 😋

I have just got back from a lovely family holiday in Norfolk.

Holkham beach was my favourites with it's unspoilt landscape. Not a single building in sight and the sand it so soft. Definitely one of my favourite beaches ⛱️

We went to many places, like King's Lynn, Holkham, Morston, Blakeney, Cromer, National Trust Oxburgh and to Sandringham for the RHS flower show. 🌼🪻🌸

So apologies to those that have messaged me and I have been slow to respond. If you haven't heard from me by the end of this week, please send me another message.

🎂 Happy 70th Birthday John 🎂

John's sister ordered a special 70th birthday cake from me at Emmm's Cakes but was unsure what to order. Jane looked on my website and found a previously made cake of the rustic lemon, lime and coconut cake I made quite a few years ago. I was so happy to recreate this one as I think the flavours taste amazing together! 🍋🍋‍🟩🥥

Yummy steak and chip cake! 🍟

Milos favourite meal is steak and chips so to make a cake themed on this is just perfect.

The steak, chips, mushrooms and dollop of ketchup are all fondant. The serving board is my classic chocolate cake recipe with chocolate buttercream. 🎂

Happy birthday to Kate and Taryn 🎉

A lovely surprise birthday cake for them both ordered by Megan. These ladies were staying at an Airbnb in Smarden for their celebrations 🥳 and a great choice of location ☺️

Inside this cake is my classic chocolate sponge and buttercream cake, covered and decorated in vanilla buttercream. The book is a reference to the book club these ladies go to. Watch for the next post of the little book.
