Another load of soil conditioner was delivered yesterday by the wonderful people at Stubbs Copse Woodyard. Kirsty and Claude shifted the soil and manure before potting rhubarb, comfrey, and bronze fennel. All in all, the team has put in 200 hours at the Community Allotment in just two months and boy, does it show. The Community Allotment team will host a visit on the afternoon of 14 June as part of Great Big Green Week 🌿🌱👏🏻

SO many people to thank for their help with the Community Allotment this week - Nick for his infinite patience putting our fab potting tables together; Ian for helping me fill the beds; Lisa for her resourcefulness in setting up the polytunnel; Harry from Stubbs Copse Woodyard for giving us 3 times the soil we ordered; Dom for his time, his van, hessian bags, chaff, collecting manure and fixing 3 wheelbarrows; Stewart from the EDGE Tea & Coffee for the coffee grounds, chaff and bags. Last but not least, thanks to Jo and Dory for sowing a multitude of veg seeds and continuing to clear the plots. You all rock 🥳Sorry to be so long, but that is how much was done and how much community generosity we received in one week. Ouf!🙏🏻🤩🥳
