Don is a second generation fully qualified sweep, he takes opportunities to further his knowledge wherever he can, he attends courses and training when able to keep up with the requirements and to ensure that he continues to be the best at what he does. ng people. Don's father is a retired sweep and his brother took over his business and caters for the Maidenhead area. During the quieter periods of the year Don also does carpet cleaning. A bit about Don...

Don is married to Carol and they have five children, of which four are now married and have children of their own. They have eleven grandchildren aged 11 down to 1. Don loves animals and has cats and dogs. He has no problem working in homes where dogs are present.

Came back from holiday this week to find a jackdaw had managed to fall down our chimney! It had been in every room trying to escape via windows! The clean up took 6 hours! We have often had customers who have experienced this over the years but we never realised how much damage one bird loose in your house can cause! Tomorrow we are having a cowl fitted! The nests are not in our flue but in the chimney pots either side. Hence the birds sit on top of ours but unfortunately if a bird falls down, it cannot fly back up! A decent bird cowl is the best way to prevent this!
