📣 Landmark Achievement for Water Safety in England

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate a huge step forward for water safety. It has been confirmed that, from September 2026, water safety education - including the Water Safety Code - will be compulsory on the national curriculum for both primary and secondary schools in England.

As proud members of the National Water Safety Forum, we know just how much work, collaboration, and dedication it has taken to reach this milestone.

A very special mention must go to Beckie Ramsay, Doing it for Dylan, for her tireless campaigning in memory of her son, Dylan. Her determination has been instrumental in driving this vital change.

This announcement also feels especially fitting as we mark World Youth Skills Day this week, a day dedicated to helping young people develop essential skills for life. Learning how to stay safe in and around water is one of the most important life skills we can give them.

This is a massive moment for water safety education, and we’re excited to see the positive impact it will have on keeping young people safer for generations to come. 🌊
