I thought I’d start the the day off with this product recommendation

👉🏻 Bar keepers soft cleanser.

It’s brilliant for:

Stainless steel sinks- Removes stubborn marks, mineral deposits and tarnish to help restore the shine.

Glass shower screens- Helps tackle soap scum and mineral deposits that ordinary bathroom cleaners can struggle with.

Chrome taps and fixtures- Useful for removing water deposits and restoring shine.

Porcelain toilets and sinks- Helps remove stubborn stains, mineral buildup and general grime.

Oven door glass- Can help lift stubborn marks and baked-on residue from suitable glass surfaces.

Rust stains- Particularly useful on suitable hard surfaces where rust marks have developed.

Ceramic tiles- Helps remove soap scum and mineral deposits from tiles.

Copper and brass- Useful for removing tarnish and restoring the appearance.

Chrome taps and fixtures- Useful for removing water deposits and restoring shine.

🧹 Are you a hoover line lover or not? 👀

Getting to know what each client likes is such an important part of this job. After all, no two homes (or clients) are the same. 🏡✨

I’ve always loved a good hoover line. I feel like it’s that finishing touch that makes a room look complete after a clean.

But I know they’re not for everyone. Some love those crisp, satisfying lines across the carpet, down the stairs and on the sofa, while others couldn’t care less 🤭

For me, it’s all about the little details that make a difference, and make you feel ‘ahhh relax’ when walking into a room ❤️

How are we all feeling after a wet and windy weekend?

I hate the wind. Over the years it seems to of worsened and I get really heightened anxiety around it. Saturday night at 11pm I made my boyfriend go and get the washing line and anything I thought might blow away.

His words were “I can’t tell if your being serious or not”

Thankfully I survived the night, but did wake up at 5am Sunday and paint my bathroom 😅

Its a busy week this week:
1 respite care this morning (my fav job of every week 🥰)
1 weekly
7 fortnightly
2 monthly’s
1 BIG end of tenancy

After 5 years of cleaning professionally, I’ve got the bathroom techniques NAILED down. The tools, the products, the little tricks… and honestly, there’s nothing more satisfying than a filthy bathroom being transformed✨

So, here are my go-to bathroom essentials 👇

🛠️ TOOLS
• Crevice brush
• Non-scratch scraper
• Squeegee
• Toilet brush
• Pumice stone
• Dishmatic Wonder Scrub
• Microfibre towels & cloths

🧴 PRODUCTS (available shop brought household products, not cleaning chemicals)
• Astonish Bathroom Cleaner
• Astonish Citrus White Vinegar
• Astonish ‘The Good One’ Paste
• Tesco Limescale Remover — (honestly, you do NOT need to burn your lungs with Viakal) 😂 The Tesco one is just as effective and costs less than half the price.
• Black Harpic
• Floor Cleaner

I only recommend what works best so you don’t have to waste money.

UBIK 2000 - The degreaser of all degreasers! 🔥

It’s a chemical concentrate, and I’m not sure how it’s taken me 5 years in the cleaning industry to hear about this stuff.

It really does save your arms the hard graft of scrubbing away stubborn grease.

An over oven extractor hood- from unable to see through to sparkling ✨

I’m seriously impressed with this one 🤩

Everyone knows I have a hoover obsession. 😂

I’m pretty sure I’ve owned practically every Shark model ever created. At one point, I had FOUR hoovers in my house. It was becoming a genuine addiction.

Some girls like expensive handbags. I like hoovers (and apparently have a strange water bottle obsession too). 🤷🏼‍♀️

Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend this model. Out of all the ones I’ve ever owned, this is hands down my favourite.

Model: LA400UKT

There’s currently a sale on this hoover, so if you’re on the lookout for an excellent pick-up hoover with different settings and suction modes, this is the one. My FAV thing about it is it comes with a blue light setting for hard floors which basically highlights ALL of the bits. The satisfaction 🫣

It’s also much lighter than some of their absolute beefcake, kill your biceps models 💪🏼

Honestly, TRUST ME ON THIS ONE.

Personally, you just can’t beat a corded hoover. I genuinely don’t understand the fascination with cordless ones. They really are a bit 💩. Even with all the latest technology, for me, you just can’t beat the effectiveness and reliability of a good old corded machine.

Right, I’m off to continue my rock ’n’ roll evening with a cuppa tea and possibly a biscuit or five. ☕️🍪

A little Friday food for thought. 🤍

Life is getting more and more expensive. Every single one of us is feeling the rising costs around us.

Trying to remain competitive in an oversaturated market, while also making enough to sustain your business and support yourself without working yourself into exhaustion or pricing yourself out of clients, is a really difficult balancing act.

You want to provide a service people can afford, but you also need to make sure that what you charge is enough to make running your business worthwhile and sustainable for you too.

I’ve put this together in the hope that it helps people look at the cost of a service a little differently, and consider all the factors that go into pricing a service fairly. Not just cleaning, but any service based business.
