Just a reminder to please be mindful this week with it being 30 degrees +.
I cannot work at the same pace as usual which means your priorities will be focused on first. I have 8hrs cleaning each day which is extremely hard in this heat.
Last year I was quite ill pushing myself through everyone’s cleans and it absolutely exhausted me. So as hydrated as I keep myself I will take small breaks, and won’t be overexerting myself.
I’m not complaining though- how lovely is this weather?! ☀️
A gentle reminder, that I will do my absolute best in this heat. But with temperatures over 30 degrees and some of the below signs of heat exhaustion yesterday please be mindful that I will focus on your priorities only to ensure my health and wellbeing are being looked after.
Heat exhaustion and heatstroke are both heat-related illnesses, but heatstroke is the more severe and dangerous condition. Heat exhaustion is a warning sign that your body is overheating and struggling to cool down, while heatstroke means your body has completely lost its ability to regulate temperature, leading to a dangerously high body temperature and potential organ damage.
Yesterday I was called ‘outrageous’ for wanting to reschedule a clean (to another day this week) because I was struggling to regulate my body temperature.
Today both regular clients of mine messaged me first thing to say do what I can today or reschedule as my health is the priority.
Please be kind, it’s a very hard job in general let alone in this heat.
