Another driveway transformation completed in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester ✅

This was a big one — requiring two visits to fully restore the driveway. After a thorough clean, treatment, and removing stubborn w**ds around the edges, today I returned to complete the re-sanding process.

Around 8 bags of kiln-dried sand were used to refill the joints and help stabilise the block paving, bringing the driveway back to a much cleaner and refreshed finish.

Some of the w**ds around the edges were particularly stubborn due to the cables and tight areas, but the overall result speaks for itself — a huge improvement from where we started.

This project in Wythenshawe, Manchester involved a full block paving driveway clean, including pressure washing, removing thick w**ds, and treating organic staining to restore the surface to a fresh, clean finish. It was such a hot day that you can actually see the water evaporating while I was working!

This 170m² natural stone patio in Hazel Grove, Stockport is the biggest project we’ve completed to date, taking around 20 hours of work to restore.

The customer told us they’d unfortunately been let down by another company in the past after choosing the cheapest quote. The previous contractors left the drainage channels blocked with sand, failed to properly re-finish the surface, and the overall standard of work fell well below what was promised. In the end, paying less cost them more.

It’s a good reminder that when choosing a tradesperson, value is far more important than simply finding the lowest price.

A few things to look out for:

* Check genuine reviews and recommendations from previous customers.
* Ask a few questions about how the work will be carried out. A professional should be happy to explain their process.
* Be cautious if someone seems in a rush to quote or complete the work without properly assessing the job.
* Always carry out a final inspection together before the contractor leaves to make sure you’re happy with the finished result.

Another clean, another five-star review collected ⭐️

The before and afters on this one definitely don’t disappoint. The sunny weather meant we managed to get everything completed nicely in one day.

I’m definitely going to need to start stocking up on more sand, though… I’m going through it way too quickly 😂 Had to make a quick stop at the local B&Q to pick up some more and finish the job off.

Graduating from university this Friday has got me reflecting on the last three years and everything I’ve learned along the way.

I studied Sport and Exercise Nutrition, and somehow ended up running my own exterior cleaning business.

Looking back, I think all of the different experiences, skills and lessons I’ve picked up over the years have played a part in getting me to where I am today.

Every patio has its own story, and today’s project in Wilmslow was certainly one to remember.

This beautiful detached property featured a truly unique patio that simply needed some professional care to bring it back to its best. From the moment I arrived, I knew that achieving the best possible result would come down to careful preparation just as much as the cleaning itself.

Before any pressure washing could begin, I trimmed back overgrown w**ds and bushes, cleared the entire area with a leaf blower, and applied a professional pre-treatment to break down algae, moss and surface grime. Once the treatment had done its job, I carried out a thorough patio clean using professional pressure washing equipment, followed by a post-treatment and a complete rinse down to leave everything looking its very best.

Like many exterior cleaning projects, this one wasn’t without its challenges. Drainage in one section of the patio caused water to build up, slowing progress and making certain areas more difficult to clean. Even so, I worked through the issue, adapting where needed and making sure every part of the job received the same level of care and attention.

I believe every customer deserves my very best, regardless of the challenges on the day. I don’t rush jobs or cut corners, which is why I only take on a limited number of projects each week. My focus has always been on quality, attention to detail, and leaving every property looking the best it possibly can.

The customer was delighted with the transformation, and seeing that reaction makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Today’s job took me slightly outside my usual service area to Oldham, Greater Manchester, but this customer specifically requested my driveway cleaning service, and I was more than happy to help. 👌

At first glance, the driveway looked fairly clean, but a closer look revealed thick w**ds growing between the block paving joints. Left untreated, w**ds can spread, loosen the blocks, and make the driveway look untidy—so it was time for a professional clean.

The process started with a 30-minute application of sodium hypochlorite, helping to kill the w**ds right down to the root while treating the surface. I then used a turbo nozzle to deep clean the driveway, blasting out dirt, moss, w**ds, and debris from between every joint.

Once the cleaning was complete, everything was thoroughly rinsed down, surrounding areas were protected, windows and neighbouring areas were checked, and all affected surfaces were left spotless. The grass and plants were carefully protected throughout the job.

Finally, I applied fresh kiln-dried sand with precision, making sure every joint and edge was completely filled—even working the sand into the finer gaps by hand for a long-lasting finish.

The result? A driveway restored to its best, and one very happy customer who even left a tip! Thank you for your trust and custom. 🙌

Another early start today, with the client kindly letting me set up from 7:45am before getting straight to work on this block paving driveway and side path restoration in Altrincham.

The first step was a full sodium hypochlorite treatment across the entire surface, giving it time to dwell before carrying out a deep clean with the turbo nozzle. Every w**d was carefully removed throughout the process.

Sodium hypochlorite is the industry-standard treatment for a reason. As well as brightening the block paving, it helps kill organic growth and w**ds at the root, giving a longer-lasting result than pressure washing alone.

Thanks to the warm weather, the paving dried quickly enough to be re-sanded the same day, allowing me to complete the full restoration in one visit. Before leaving, I also hand-cleaned the affected windows to make sure every part of the job was finished to the highest standard.

The client was delighted with the transformation, and that’s exactly what I aim for on every job.

I also recorded the whole job using my new action camera mounted on a high-view tripod, a new addition to the business. Looking forward to sharing some better-quality videos of the work very soon.

Today’s exterior cleaning project involved restoring the brick walls surrounding this lovely semi-detached property.

The brickwork had developed noticeable black and green algae staining, so the first stage was applying a hypochlorite treatment to help break down the organic growth. The warm weather did make the process more challenging, as the solution dried much quicker than usual in the direct sunlight. However, the shaded areas allowed the treatment more time to work effectively.

Following the chemical treatment, I used a pressure washer with a turbo nozzle to carefully clean the surface. While some of the more stubborn marks remained and may require further specialist products or treatments in the future, the overall difference between the before and after is clear to see.

Every job brings new challenges and opportunities to improve, and this one was a great learning experience in understanding how different conditions and surfaces respond to cleaning methods.

While on site, I also cleaned the driveway and rear patio, helping to refresh the overall appearance of the property’s exterior.
