We’re Back!

It’s been a long 6 weeks while we focused on our daughter’s health and recovery in the hospital and from home. We can’t thank you all enough for your patience and kind messages during such a difficult time.

We officially re-opened our doors on the 27th, and it felt good to get back to what we love doing.

After a long 3 weeks in the hospital, putting up with needles, tubes, x-rays etc, our Aimee finally got to go home yeste...

After a long 3 weeks in the hospital, putting up with needles, tubes, x-rays etc, our Aimee finally got to go home yesterday. Aimee will need the feeding tube but she's still able to eat solids with a little help so thankfully she's not lost that ability which can happen with Rett, that was a worry for us.

Aimee is much happier now that she's home, we'll be keeping her off school for a couple of weeks as she never had a proper holiday plus we need to get used to the new procedures and routine, everyone involved will need to be trained so busy with all that

We aim to reopen on the 26th January, a big thank you to everyone who wished Aimee a speedy recovery

We were planning on reopening on the 7th but unfortunately our Aimee is still in the hospital. She ended up catching the flu but with her Rett Syndrome, it just added more complications which involved a lot more tests as when they did the x-ray on her chest, it was like a party popper had gone off which the doctors said was very rare

Aimee is slowly recovering, but unfortunately she will need a feeding tube to help with food, meds etc but she's still able to eat solids with our help so at least she's not lost that ability, just another Rett thing to deal with

We're hoping Aimee will get home next week but she'll need a week or so to recover fully before going back to school.

We hope to reopen on the 19th Jan, hopefully sooner but it all depends on how Aimee is doing,

We're having to close over the Xmas and New Year a bit earlier than expected

Our Aimee got rushed to the hospital yesterday and it looks like she'll be kept in over the weekend, possibly longer, we're hoping for a speedy recovery and that she'll get home for Xmas

We hope everyone has a lovely Xmas and we hope to reopen on the 7th January
