Cleaning the 'niggly, unnoticed' parts of your home makes such a difference! I love cleaning but i love it more when you can actually see where your cleaning and you can tell the difference 🤭✨️

🙌

💰 Why do professional cleaners charge what they do?

Because cleaning isn’t “just cleaning.” It’s physical labor, and doing it professionally can take a serious toll on your body.

A professional cleaner can spend HOURS:
🧹 Bending and squatting
🪣 Lifting and carrying heavy equipment
🛁 Scrubbing tubs and showers
🧽 Reaching, twisting and stretching
🧼 Working on hands and knees
🪜 Climbing up and down step stools
🛏️ Moving furniture and mattresses
🚽 Working in awkward, tight spaces
💪 Repeating the same motions hundreds of times
👣 Walking and standing almost the entire day

Your back feels it. Your knees feel it. Your shoulders, wrists, hands and feet feel it.

And there’s another side people don’t always think about: repeated exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, mold, pet dander and whatever else may be in the homes we clean. We can wear gloves, masks and other protective equipment, use proper ventilation and choose safer products when possible and those precautions absolutely matter but repeated occupational exposure is still something cleaners have to take seriously.

Then remember: a self-employed cleaner’s rate isn’t their take-home wage. That money also covers supplies, equipment, gas, travel time, insurance, taxes, equipment replacement and all the unpaid hours spent running a business.

You’re not paying someone “just to wipe down a counter.”

You’re paying for physical labor, skill, experience, knowledge, equipment, business expenses and the wear and tear that comes with doing this work day after day.

There’s a reason experienced cleaners can make a difficult job look easy. 🧚‍♀️💪
