šŸ A cleaning service isn’t just about sparkly sinks, shiny taps and leaving a space clean and comfortable.

It goes far beyond that.

It’s about the organisation behind it.
The systems.
The planning.
Staff rotas.
Client enquiries.
Quotes.
Invoices.
And so much more.

Running a cleaning business means spending just as much time behind the scenes as we do out on the job.

Because without all of that, the cleaning simply wouldn’t be possible.

This photo was taken while we were away in Spain last week. Although I do miss my morning office view, it’s good to be home and back doing what we do best. šŸāœØ

šŸ Bee Cleans & Bee Your Plan Ltd has grown… and so have the services we offer.

Every property, every client and every situation is different, but our approach never changes. We treat every job with the same care, respect and attention to detail.

Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or you’ve only just discovered us, thank you for being part of our journey. We’re excited for everything that’s still to come. šŸāœØ

Hi everyone! šŸ‘‹

I’ve been a little quiet on here recently…

Not because anything’s wrong, but because life happens! Between the summer holidays and spending some quality time with my family, social media has taken a bit of a back seat.

While I’ve been quiet online, everything behind the scenes has been carrying on as normal.

In the early hours of this morning, we arrived back in the UK after a lovely few days in sunny Spain. It was a 3:30am bedtime for us! 😓

As sad as I was to leave the beautiful villa behind, I always come home feeling refreshed, full of new ideas and ready to get stuck back in.

Today has been all about getting organised. Working through staff rotas, schedules and finding those all-important gaps in the diary. Trust me, it’s not a quick job! It’s taken most of the day, but everything is now coming together ready for another busy few weeks… although I was quickly reminded we’ve got a bank holiday coming up. Oops! 🤭

Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing much more from behind the scenes at Bee Cleans & Bee Your Plan Ltd, introducing more of our services, offering cleaning tips, and giving you a better insight into what we do and the people behind the business.

As always, thank you for continuing to support our small business. We really do appreciate every like, comment, recommendation and booking.

I hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine! šŸšŸ’›

The first week of the summer holidays is complete. āœ…

And honestly, I’ve been blown away by how supportive our domestic clients have been with some last-minute changes, staff holidays, and even having my eldest son, Harry, come along to a few jobs.

He’s been offered drinks, snacks, the Wi-Fi password, the TV remote… he’s even been invited to jump in a client’s swimming pool! 🄹

It’s the little acts of kindness like these that mean so much.

Trying to juggle running a business, working full-time, managing a team, and still making sure our children have a great summer isn’t always easy.

But having clients like ours makes it that little bit easier.

Thank you for your patience, your understanding, and your kindness. We genuinely appreciate every single one of you. šŸšŸ’›

It’s been one of those weeks where you stop and realise just how varied this job really is.

At the beginning of the week, we were working alongside Social Services, supporting a family with organisation and helping them through what was a significant moment in their lives.

This morning was a significant moment for us personally too, as our son officially finished primary school. 🄹 I can’t quite believe my firstborn is now off to secondary school. Where has the time gone?! (Someone please tell me I’m not old enough for this! šŸ˜‚)

Then this afternoon after all of the school events were complete, we went and got started on a hospital discharge clean. Preparing a home so someone can return to a clean, safe and hygienic environment next week.

All the while, our fantastic team continued delivering our domestic cleans.

Three completely different situations, but all with one thing in common… people.

Cleaning isn’t always just about cleaning. Sometimes it’s about providing reassurance, creating a fresh start, supporting professionals, or simply making someone’s day a little easier.

It’s certainly been a busy and emotional week, both professionally and personally, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Here’s to new beginnings, fresh starts, and making a difference wherever we can.

Wishing all the parents and families whose children finished school today a lovely summer break… Wahooo… we survived another school year! šŸ„³ā˜€ļøšŸ

All we see when we look at a house are the bricks, the windows, the roof… the external parts.

What we don’t see is what happens behind those walls.

Just like people… we see the outer layer. The construction of a person. But we don’t always see what may be happening inside.

The thoughts.
The worries.
The stress.
The weight that’s often carried.

This week, we had the absolute honour of being trusted to work alongside a family during a difficult time.

Our role was to provide practical help, compassionate support, a non-judgemental approach and a friendly face throughout the process.

In this line of work, you build relationships and connections. Some experiences stay with you, and this is one that I know I will carry with me for a long time.

The resilience.
The strength.
The love and care I witnessed over the last couple of days was truly inspiring and something I will never forget.

I hope our work has made a positive difference to their day-to-day lives and, as always, I feel incredibly grateful to have been trusted to help.

When we walked away today, my emotions hit hard.

Because it’s not just a house.

It’s a home.

It’s memories, experiences and lives built behind those walls.

I wonder how many homes we drive or walk past every day without having any idea what may be happening beyond the front door.

So, this is just a reminder…

A reminder to check in on the people you love.

A reminder that just because something isn’t visible, it doesn’t mean it isn’t real.

A reminder that we all have our own stories.

And, most importantly, a reminder to always, always take care of yourself.

Over the weekend, I viewed a biohazard property.

It may have been outside normal working hours, but situations like these often need urgent attention. Whether it’s a weekend, early morning or late evening, where possible, I will always make time to attend and assess what support is needed.

Usually, I’m able to hold my emotions and focus on the job in front of me.

But this one felt heavy.

I’ve found myself thinking about it ever since.

After all, behind the PPE, I’m only human.

Working in specialist cleaning doesn’t mean we don’t feel the emotions that come with seeing someone living in incredibly difficult circumstances. We’re allowed to feel them.

But it’s what comes next that matters.

Now, my focus turns to putting the necessary planning, risk assessments and procedures in place and preparing a clear quotation. And hopefully, if it is accepted, doing everything we can to make the property safe and help the client return home as quickly as possible.

Sometimes people ask me why I want to do this kind of work.

And the answer is simple:

Because if someone I loved was living in circumstances like these, I would hope there would be someone willing to help them too šŸ

TOOLKIT FOR PROFESSIONALS ā˜£ļø

When a property presents a risk to health and safety, knowing what happens next isn’t always straightforward.

Professionals working across housing, social care, healthcare and support services are often the first to recognise when a situation requires more than standard cleaning support.

But how do you identify what specialist support is needed?
What should you be looking for?
And what steps should be taken to ensure the right support is arranged safely and appropriately?

I’ve created a Specialist Cleaning Support Toolkit for Professionals to provide guidance and clarity when dealing with complex environments.

Inside the toolkit, you’ll find guidance on:

āœ” Identifying situations that may require specialist support, including:
• Biohazard situations
• Hoarding environments
• Infection control concerns
• Unattended or delayed death
• Needle and sharps risks
• Fire and soot damage
• Mould and other risks to health

āœ” Understanding what to look for when assessing a situation
āœ” The next steps following identification
āœ” A quick decision-making pathway to help guide your response
āœ” What makes a good specialist cleaning provider
āœ” What to consider — and what to avoid — when arranging support

The aim is to help professionals feel more confident when faced with challenging properties, while ensuring the right support is accessed at the right time.

If you work in housing, social care, healthcare or a support role and would find this resource useful, you can access the free toolkit here:

Time for a little storytelling… 🤪

This isn’t where I thought I’d end up… but it’s exactly where I’m meant to be.

What started as a domestic cleaning business has quickly become so much more than that.

For years, I’ve had an interest in biohazard cleaning. I’d see before-and-after photos from specialist companies and always think, I’d love to do something like that.

Long before I started Bee Cleans & Bee Your Plan Ltd, I studied Health & Social Care with plans to build a career in children’s nursing. However, life had other ideas when I fell pregnant with my first child, and my path took a different direction.

Fast forward 10 years, and those two worlds have finally come together.

The more I’ve learned about biohazard cleaning, the more I’ve realised it isn’t just about cleaning… it’s about people.

It’s about helping someone feel safe and comfortable in their own environment.
It’s about taking one huge worry off their shoulders.
It’s about supporting people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives with dignity, compassion and respect.

That’s what makes this work so meaningful to me.

Whether we’re carrying out a regular domestic clean or responding to a biohazard situation, our goal is always the same: to make someone’s day a little easier.

I’m incredibly proud of the direction Bee Cleans & Bee Your Plan Ltd is taking, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us next.
