We were lucky enough to be invited to the Union Road Playground Heritage Site Regeneration meeting in the park this morning. We met with committee members and the lovely children from Meadowbank Nursery for story telling of the bygone era when trains ran right along the side of the park. Judy and Lynda gave some great ideas on what can also be put in the park for all generations. We had a lovely walk there and a perfect morning in the sunshine. ☀ 🏞

Our weekly shenanigans so far...more sunbathing, scrabble club, lovely bit of pet therapy with beautiful Chopper and we've even been to collect our new electric carer controlled wheelchair today which was very exciting! Adventures await...more pics to follow (once we learn to drive it safely!! )🦼 🕹

What have we been up to since the fete? Well, relaxing and enjoying this fine weather mostly! Usual favourites musical bingo, aqua painting and quizzes. Listening to The Beatles in the garden this morning too....got to make the most of the weather as one lovely lady said this morning..."soon be Christmas!!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🎄🎄☀ ☀

Cantref Summer Fete 2026 - thank you everyone, to many people to mention! We’ve had a great day, weather was fantastic and all families and loved ones - thank you so much as well for being part of it. Well done to all Cantref Staff for your donations, contributions, helping out today and special thanks to Louise for getting it off the ground!! You did it! Was the stress worth it … of course!! It was amazing - well done everyone … word is over £600 squids raised 👀 but we’ll have an update Monday with more pics xx thanks Michael also for the tunes!!

Our week so far...fete prep and getting outside, balloon tennis..oh and the saga of Louise's rogue noisy Peacock that has made a home in her garden...quite the conversation piece this week! 🤣🤣🤣
