Laptop wanted, preferably Qwerty keyboard.

I am in need of a laptop to help me create the network I have mentioned in my last post. It is aimed at providing a helpful network to aid vulnerable people who may especially live alone and have an accident or have an illness. I want to extend this service to even families abroad, who are struggling to deal with arrangements after a bereavement has taken place in France.

If anybody has a healthy laptop they no longer use or need, please could you send me a message with the details and price.

🌍🤝 Are You a Registered Home Helper or Cleaner in France? Join a New Support Network! 🇫🇷

Over the past few years, through my work as a cleaner and helping English-speaking residents, I have encountered many situations where elderly or vulnerable people living alone suddenly face emergencies - accidents, hospitalisation, or even bereavement.
In these moments, families are often living abroad and do not understand the French system or how to manage urgent matters from a distance. Sometimes there is nobody locally to step in.
Because of this, I am now working to create a support network across France for English-speaking residents who need practical help during difficult situations.

This may include things such as:
🧹 Cleaning services
🏡 Property checks or management
📦 Helping families manage properties following a bereavement
🐾 Looking after animals when owners are hospitalised
📑 Helping people understand how certain local procedures work

I am currently looking to connect with reliable English speakers already working in France as registered professionals, particularly those working as:
• Aide à domicile
• Aide à la personne
• Cleaners or home service providers
• Qualified animal carers(if not yet qualified, contact me as I am taking a course this year and you could join me)

The aim is simply to create a trusted network of people across different regions who may be willing to help when situations arise locally that require practical support.

This is not about replacing your work but it could help to increase your workload - it is about building connections so that people in urgent situations can find help nearby when it is needed most.
If you are interested in being part of this network, please send me a private message so we can discuss further.
Together we may be able to ensure that fewer people face emergencies alone - especially those living far from family. I have lots of experience within this field and am willing to train people - this will not be a paid course but it could benefit your self-employment if you become a member of the new network.

I am speaking with a reporter next week and will ask her if she may be able to help advertise this aim of mine, in addition to the other information we will be discussing for publication.

Following on from my attempts to help with situations of emergency, I have come across another lady requiring urgent help in the area as mentioned below:

“Bonjour! I am an American, retired and solo living near Castelsarrasin.

I fell on Saturday before dawn, broke my leg (badly) and am in the hospital after major surgery. I’m completely alone here - arrived at the end of December. I lived in Portugal for five years before moving.

I haven’t met many people and I’m in a tough situation. I haven’t met someone that can come clean and do laundry. But I need helpers. To get groceries, and to maybe just visit once in a while. I won’t be able to put weight on my left leg for at least a month. Yes. A long time.

I have 3 small dogs and I am hoping I can manage feeding them and keeping their water bowl full.

This is the worst nightmare for a solo woman. Falling and not being able to do the basics. If you are anywhere near, and could help me - or if you know anyone in this area - I would be forever grateful.

I will be writing a short post on “What to expect when you have an emergency hospitalization.” If not for my new friend, Shelly Happel Walters, I would be completely lost.

I want to try to help this lady. I am trying to get her to understand the CESU system and amount of pay per hour and am wondering if there are any cleaners in her area who would be interested in the work at a higher rate per hour to what she is advertising? She is receiving a lot of stick, some more rude than others, and although they have a point I want to try to help get her the help she needs.
Pm me if you think you could help if the rate per hour is heightened - registered workers only, please, and if you are already familiar with CESU, then this would be a help.

I have a deaf and blind elderly dog who requires medical attention and I simply can’t find the funds for this so need to call as much in as possible.

Just a note to say I have now returned to work, readying myself for the busy tourist season ahead. I am really looking forward to it! I’ve already picked up a few one-off jobs - if you have anything like this you need doing, give me a shout now while I do have the time.

I hope you are all managing to cope despite the amount of rain we have been having? We’ve had a few internal leaks but the renovation continues to sort these problems out.
