Advanced simulation & real-time intelligence decision-making in action 📊 Target-driven crisis management relies on accurate forecasting and real-time data.

During our latest IMO OPRC Level 3 course in Cartagena, senior leaders used state-of-the-art tools to simulate high-stakes tactical decision-making:

🗺️OceansMap® Trajectory Modeling: Predicting spill trajectories accurately to optimize resource deployment before impact.
⚓Full Mission 4D Simulator: Executing strategic response maneuvers in a realistic, multi-variable environment.

Combining advanced trajectory forecasting with 4D simulation gives leaders hands-on practice in evaluating scenarios, minimizing risk and coordinating rapid responses safely and effectively.

Continuous technological advancement is essential to protecting maritime operations and coastal environments.

🛢️ First circular oil at Kilpilahti.

On 19 October, our plant in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, Finland, produced circular oil for the first time. For a project that has been years in the making, this is a milestone worth pausing on!

What the plant does, in short: it takes post-consumer plastic that cannot be recycled mechanically, shreds it, and converts it through pyrolysis into circular oil.

♻️ That oil is then refined into raw material for new plastics. Used plastic goes back into the material cycle.

Lamor’s Kilpilahti plant is the first industrial-scale chemical recycling plant for plastics in Finland. Its first production line is designed to produce approximately 6,000 tonnes of certified circular oil per year, and the site has room for four lines.

Starting a new industrial process is not a matter of pressing a button. Commissioning continues in stages, with the focus on stable operation and product quality.

Behind the first oil are the people who designed, built and now run the plant; operators, engineers, laboratory, maintenance and safety specialists, and our partners. Our thanks to all of them 🙏

Over the coming days and weeks we’ll show you more of what goes on inside the plant. The equipment, the process and the people who run it.

Stay in tune!

A few weeks ago, on September 17, Lamor’s Sanjay Sharma took the stage at The World Circular Economy Forum (WCEF) 2026 Accelerator Session in Gujarat, India.

As part of the event, Team Finland hosted "Finland Day," a high-level session focused on practical circular economy implementations and strategic cross-border partnerships. The event featured insights from Sari Multala, Finland’s Minister of Climate and the Environment, showcasing Finnish leadership in sustainable transformation.

During the Circular Maritime Systems & Port Ecosystems track at The Leela Gandhinagar, Sanjay presented "Global standards for maritime circularity: how Finland is adopting circular best practice in the maritime sector." He shared practical examples of how Finnish expertise is helping reshape sustainable port operations.

The session sparked great discussions on how Finland and India can collaborate, setting the groundwork for concrete initiatives and projects that Lamor looks forward to contributing to in the near future.
