Welcome to Techno Dive A/S page on vessels and rigs underwater Hull Cleaning. As you see and know the thousands of vessels crossing our ocean participate in biofouling or transfer of water-borne species making dangerous changes to the environment,
IMO is addressing this issue by taking steps to bring a control mechanism to mitigate the spread of invasive species through ship hull biofouling by “Guidelines for the control and management of ships’ biofouling to minimize the transfer of invasive aquatic species”. So besides the usual advantages of fuel saving, inspection and inlets checking when hull cleaning, we now must take environmental consideration in our cleaning efforts and Techno Dive hope for this page to help and make our network bigger and stronger by discussing options, restrictions, and solutions.
