✨ 90 Years of Making a Difference: A decade of innovation ✨

🕰️ With Connected Cleaning, we make cleaning even more digital in 2016: we combine our fleet management systems to create a central control system for the entire cleaning fleet. 🌐

The introduction of our battery universe 🔋 takes flexibility in the application of our devices to a new level. The 18- and 36-volt battery platforms are suitable for both Home & Garden and Professional devices of the same voltage.

With the launch of our fully autonomous cleaning robot KIRA B 50 🤖 in 2022, we show that the future of cleaning has already begun.

But we haven't forgotten our core products either: in 2023, we are completely revising our cold water and hot water high-pressure cleaners, equipping them with improved ergonomics and the latest technology. 💧

Last year, the Eco!Booster triggered a revolution in high-pressure cleaning: 50 per cent more cleaning power with 50 per cent less water and detergent. A real ‘WOW product’! 🌟

And this year we are celebrating a very special anniversary! 🎉 90 years of Kärcher, 90 years of innovation and passion for cleaning solutions. We are proud of what we have achieved and look forward to another 90 innovative years! 💛

🕰️ Our innovations journey through time: Technological progress of the high-pressure cleaner for private households 🕰️

It stands for Kärcher like no other product in our range: the high-pressure cleaner. A lot has happened since the first portable high-pressure cleaner for private households came onto the market in 1984:

👉 In 1991, the K 720 M set new standards for mobility with its upright position and wheels.
👉 We made it lighter in 1997 at less than 5 kilograms: the K 210.
👉 The first hybrid high-pressure cleaner, the KHC 10 from 2008, also worked without electricity from a socket.
👉 Striking design, powerful features – that's what characterised the X-Range in 2010.
👉 The K 5 Premium Full Control impressed with easy operation in 2016.
👉 Extraordinarily quiet and space-saving for the Japanese market: the JTK Silent from 2018.
👉 The K 2 Battery has been equipped with a powerful battery since 2021.

🕰️ 20 years ago, the presidential heads of Mount Rushmore receive a Kärcher style facial 🏔️🧼: Our experts used gentle cleaning methods to remove lichens, algae, moss and other organic dirt that could have damaged the underlying stone through biocorrosion.

2008: The term ‘le karcher’ appears as a synonym for high-pressure cleaning in the French dictionary Le Petit Robert. 📖 In the same year, window cleaning 🪟 becomes a breeze: the new window vacuum cleaner is the first window cleaning device addressing a gap in the market.

The first resource-efficient model series will consume less energy and water from 2011. ♻️

What's more, our professional appliances are getting a new colour scheme 🎨: the new anthracite finish sets them apart from those for private households – and is also less susceptible to dirt.

The famous grand staircase in Schwäbisch Hall, which serves as a stage for the renowned open-air theater performances, is shining bright again! ✨ As part of our 90th anniversary, we are tackling 90 cleaning projects at historic sites around the world. One of these special projects is the staircase at St. Michael's Church. 🏛️

Our team used a gentle hot steam method to remove biological growth like moss and algae, as well as human-made grime such as chewing gum, to reveal the staircase's original sandstone. The results are amazing! A big shout-out to the Kärcher team for their hard work! 💪

🕰️ Our innovations journey through time: Professional hot water high-pressure cleaners then and now🕰️

A real game-changer: in the 1950s, the KW 350 and DS 350 were the first hot water high-pressure cleaners in Europe.

The HDS 750 and HD 700 from the 70s were easier to transport thanks to their compact design.

In 1989, we introduced the compact class of hot water high-pressure cleaners. The HDS 695 features pressure and water regulators directly on the gun for added convenience.

Fits comfortably into an estate car: the HD 5/12 C from 2004. In 2015, the lightweight HD 5/11 P was introduced with optimised accessory storage.

The first battery-powered high pressure cleaner for professionals was launched in 2020: the HD 4/11 C Bp has a battery life of up to 30 minutes.

The HDS mid-range/super class and the HD 10/25-4 S have been available since 2023 and feature improved ergonomics and practical details such as an automatic hose reel.

Well, that was a wrap on .global, and we’re officially exhausted but feeling amazing! ✨ Our mission to clean up the planet was a huge success, thanks to the fantastic efforts of everyone who joined in.

Just look at our haul! We collected 17 tonnes of waste! 🤯 Who knew cleaning up the world could be so much fun?

A huge shoutout to everyone who took part and made this day so special. You guys are the real heroes! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️

🕰️ Shortly before the turn of the millennium, we made history: within nine months, Kärcher cleaned the colonnades on St. Peter's Square in Rome. At 25,000 square metres, this was the most extensive building cleaning project to date, earning it an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. 🏆

In 1999, Kärcher launched its first vacuum sweepers, laying the foundation for the municipal technology business field.

With the new millennium 🚀, Kärcher leaps into the future with the first fully automatic cleaning robot for private households.

Our teams are unstoppable: Since the beginning of the year, Kärcher teams around the world have been cleaning museums, universities, playgrounds, children's homes, mobile animal clinics, and rally cars - with the goal of cleaning 90 places in the year of our 90th anniversary. There are no limits to the creativity and dedication of our colleagues from the Netherlands to Germany, Poland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and China.
