Two months in, almost two more to go.
For many years I ran my studio alone. I did everything myself, and slowly some things slipped out of my sight without my noticing.
This autumn I stopped carrying every question alone. I’m studying again and working closely with a coach . Sometimes you need another pair of eyes to see your own work from the outside.
And once you see, you know something has to change. It’s never the easiest choice.
It has already changed more than I expected. I found a structure that holds me, and I put in order what I had been avoiding.
The hardest part isn’t the work. It’s what happens in the head: the fear of change, and right beside it, a quiet wish for something new. Letting go of some things, and some people, to make room.
I’m learning to let both stay.
Only movement takes you somewhere.
