International collaboration and professional exchange were at the centre of Rockford Healthcare’s visit to the Borer Competence Center this week. Together with CSSD Managers from healthcare institutions across Ireland, the programme focused on practical and scientific aspects of medical device reprocessing.
Across one and a half intensive days, participants explored topics including instrument contamination, discoloured and rusted instrument treatment, deep cleaning and passivation of stainless-steel medical devices, biofilm removal, cleaning process troubleshooting and reprocessing workflows within the CSSD environment.
Through a combination of presentations, technical discussions and hands-on sessions in our Test & Training Center, scientific principles were directly connected with practical application in daily CSSD operations.
The programme was delivered by specialists from Borer Medical across Product Management, Technical Service and Sales, reflecting our commitment to supporting professional competence through applied expertise and collaborative exchange.
We sincerely thank the Rockford Healthcare team to Robert O'Callaghan, Jonathan Mullen, and Daniel O' Reilly and the participating CSSD professionals Tomasz Sochaj, Pamela Hutchings, and Patricia Keenaghan for the valuable discussions, the trustful collaboration and the continued partnership. We look forward to continuing the exchange.
