Are you paying to have the same line cleared over and over again? We were called out to Lac du Bonnet for a second opinion — this line had been backing up every couple of months, and the previous contractor's last attempt left a blade behind in the pipe.
We ran our camera first and found a dense clog still sitting right where that blade was lost. Standard double 3" blades cleared it enough that most companies would've called the job done — water flowing, customer happy, for now. But our camera showed the clog wasn't actually gone.
A single 6" blade in that 3" line got us past it, and that's when we found the real cause: root intrusion coming in through an old-style tank baffle. We cut the roots back and flushed the whole line at 1,700 PSI to clear years of built-up residue from the walls.
This will need periodic maintenance — but on our schedule, not the pipe's. We're back every three to four years, ahead of when the roots would cause another backup, so the customer never deals with this again. Any time we're back for the roots, we'll also flush the minor belly we found at the end of the line.
That's the difference between a line that's flowing and a line that's actually solved.
